i think that the "morning after funeral" is the morning after pill his girlfriend takes the morning after because they had sex the previous night the song expresses Jamison's feelings about this he tells his girlfriend to "Just close your eyes", because, "everything will be okay," and take the pill he tells himself that everything will be ok, that he needs to just go ahead and follow through he tells the possible baby that everything will be ok to just close its eyes and fade away thats why "alcohol and bandages will soon follow this mess" because he needs to heal after the mess he made |

I think that this song asks us to just make a move, because the person who you have feelings for might like you too. Throughout the entire song he expresses how much he likes her and how he wishes she had told him sooner, so that he wouldnt have to "hide forever." I like the line: Nothing real should make sense anyways. Its just more magical/phenomenal when its a mystery, when you just can't control it, but it controls you. |
