Good stuff. Clearly this song is about humanity's progress. We can destroy cities, we can change the weather and we're going too fast. These are worrying concepts and if our ability to do these things is not checked then the world just might come down. Your version of the lyrics are correct JusTKrazy. As for the meaning of this song? Feeling alone and depressed, I think, but on a large scale not just from interpersonal relationships going bad. From what I can tell he feels like the world is going in a direction that he does not favor and at times he feels as if he is the only one who thinks it's tragic. I can agree with this song; in the dark days of 2001-2005, when the Bush administration had its strongest base of support, I felt very alone in my sentiments. I could not believe that people could not see where all of America's decisions would lead us (nowhere good) and it was depressing to say the least. This song, while still being pretty emo, touches on something more profound than just being dumped. Glad to see these guys are maturing lyrically! |

He definitely, without any doubt says dancer. The vowel sound is definitely a long a, furthermore dancer rhymes with "answer." Anyway, denser does not make absolute sense at all. Are we human or are we denser? Denser than what? Denser than human? Does that make sense? No, it doesn't. Dancer makes much more sense and last I checked, denser has zero long a sounds in it so anyone who actually thinks it's denser needs to work on their English skills. |

Here's a crazy idea. . . The style of this song is just odd. It sounds like some housy/trancey pop anthem. "Are we human, or are we dancer?" seems like it could be aimed at all the kids going to clubs and getting messed up on E. Thus it's meant to ironic, kind of like Indie Rock n' Roll? I don't know, just a thought. |

Has anyone else noticed the train ryhthms that are used in this song? I hadn't until I listened to it while riding a train but the drums during the verse are very 'clackity-clack' like! Very brilliant composition, in my opinion. I think everyone else pegged the meaning of the song correctly; it's about when two people still like each other very much but they argue and life's getting in the way and they end up being like 'wtf'. Basically confusing and frustrating stuff. |

This song is like caffiene for the ears. Reminds me of driving down the I-5 on 0 hours of sleep; the screaming guitars just about the only thing keeping me awake while doing 75 mph for hours on end. Anyways, what is it about? A giant, epic, fantastic battle between good and evil. Maybe we aren't fighting demon hordes with magical swords or arsenals of spells but every single day we are presented with choices and how we act upon them reflect the conflict of good and evil/right and wrong inside of us all. So yeah, this song is definitely applicable to real life. Also, this is an incredible PvP song.=P |
