All of you said it well: it's clearly about planning a suicide. But I just want to mention the reason pointed out in this track for the suicide. I think his girlfriend leaved him, not killed herself. Notice the line "When you're sleeping, dreaming of this". The hero in anger wishes that she thinks the suicide was her fault. PS: The feeling of this song is just amazing. How it progresses to a enormously emotional chours and ends with such a powerfull bass, drums and synths, preparing us for the big finale - Sleep Together. Man, Steven Wilson is a genious! |
