sticking with the album concept this is about forming an army (revolution) and destroying the "bad" world on there path to building the "new" world. 1st they must destroy, then re-build. this is the part of the album where the destroying starts to take place |

the album is a concept album about the world falling apart then being re-built into something better. This is the last song on the album and is about waking up in "the new world" the "wake up" parts at the end are sung by about 20 of fightstars friends. The last lyric on the album is "you lay me down TO SLEEP" the 1st song on the album is called "to sleep" nice touch i thought. |

The band are fans of Chuck, and they liked his theory of the canned laughter you hear today is likely the laughter of dead people. Thats why the EP was called "they liked you better when they were dead" get it?. lol.
And this song was originally called "out swimming in the flood" but was set for release a month after the tsunami, and so obv this name had to be changed, "Palanuiks laughter" was born, stemming from the ep title. |
