Its like the kind where your in a relationship, be it love or friends, and youve been friends for so long but the bond really wasnt there... Oh man... This song is amazing.. I am a new fan to Evanescence... well I real devoted fan... But I LOVE this song WAY too much... one of my most faves on the album!! ...Hm I think it means like your fearing someone... and you comfort that person, but you still have it in your head that hes sucking you up or something... This song relates to me... Its like they wrote it for me.... but what do you expect with TDG's songs?^^ Ok well the meaning is basically well... the relationship didnt go well, so he let her go, and now he feels good about it... It may also be like, a person keeps pushing you around, and you cant take the oppression anymore, and you cant take being such a pushover to that person, that you let that person go.... and now you feel good that you dont have to deal with that person walking all over you anymore. And the part where he says "I hope I've made you see, that Im gone forever" He saying its kinda like "Youve pushed me around all this time, youve taken me for granted and walked all over me,... Now Im sick of you, and I hope you know what you just gave up by treating me like crap!" Thats what i think.. |

Ok id ont really agree with the "sex" meaning but I just saw something.. "When the lights go out, you'll understand.." Translation... "Girl, you dont get me? Im talkin bout sex, so lets turn off the lights and you can finally give it to me!" LOL! |

My gosh this song is just too awesome... Well... the meaning of this song... IS that when you are oblivious to what is going around you, you need a source of pain, to know that you are still in this world and you dont have to feel miserable... you just need one big strike of pain so that your life can turn around... I dunno... But you know all those who said it was about sex... haha I giggled! Cuz it so reminded me of "Animal I have become..." And if this song IS about sex... then that really shows that Adam is an animal! xD Well this song can be for al situations where you'd rather feel something other than nothing... Its a good song... too addicting... |

The dude sees it and digs closer to try to burn the guys reputation. But the guy says that as the dude digs deeper into the guys identity, he too will burn as he watches the guy burn.
