| The Academy Is... – The Author Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
the author is yourself, "the search has begun/ this is page one" is basically showing the start of every person's life, when they start to find out who they really are and show the rest of the world that person. the part about the lying is saying that you may have been trying to fit in with certain peoples or have been trying to change who you are so it has a certain effect/gain. the part about the mirror is showing that you may see yourself as something, but no matter how much you alter your image you'll always be the same person and you'll never achieve complete and total change into something that is completely different from yourself. the song just shows you that you should always be yourself and stick with your ideas and stand up for what you believe in, instead of trying to be something that you are not, because you'll just end up lonely if you do that. I love this song so much. It just may be my fave by them. |

"A house of cards The supple heart Is not a place to dwell Now you have your cake Don't hesitate Come on and just do it Come on, just do it Put it in your mouth There is only now" That part reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. It seems like he's having problems telling the difference between reality and dreams, and the devil in the details is some kind of poison, for example alcohol. it really screwed up his life b/c he was addicted to it and it started ruining his memory to the point where he didn't know any hard facts unless he wrote them down at the point in time that it occured. he wants to change his life, but he know that it will be hard. i love the ending, "I am the first one I deceive If I can make myself believe the rest is easy " |

| Useless ID – Pink Stars And Magazines Lyrics | 18 years ago |

:D love this song. it's pretty self explanatory, really. he just wants to be rid of this girl who is melodramatic and a huge fake. and he's saying that he was like drugged and couldn't really see who she really was and he'll never go back to her. |

| KoЯn – Throw Me Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is probably my favorite song by them. I like the picture that it gives, he is completely broken into pieces, like a mirror or something that you could carelessly get rid of and buy a new one, but he's saying "no, dont' throw me away" he's still got something left even if it is a little fucked up. "Hold me up into the light" take a closer look, there might be something about him that you overlooked. |

| The Sunstreak – America's Most Wanted Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| He's saying sorry for how he changed in his life, how he doesn't really like it either, and he wants whoever he's talking to to listen and actually see how much pain he's in for hurting them, and he came to accept his change but he knows that it will never be good enough for them | |

| The Killers – Andy, You're a Star Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I like to think that "Andy" in this song is actually a girl, and she's always contending with the boys on the field, and of course they're always making fun of her. but my logic isn't always straight, it's prolly about a stalker or something. just an idea. |

"Where did you come from, where have you been? I don't know that much about you, but I don't think that I would like to anymore" that's pretty much the greatest thing ever. and the ending kind of makes me think that he's partly serious about her, but he's kind of playing with her vainity and showing how she really is a slut. |

| Colour Revolt – Change Your Face Or Change Your Name Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think this song is about repenting. "I don't see differences in you and me Except for the occasional harsh word Step out on the stage We got colors We got shapes All you really need is your brother, don't you" We're all really the same person, but we all have different beliefs, some people haven't expressed them (step out on the stage), some people haven't been heard. you need someone to help you (all you need is your brother) "I don't know where it is I'm gonna go Is it heaven If it is come take me now Leave it where you are We are out here if you are We are taking sticks and stones And smashing our own cars" He's got his own beliefs be he doesn't know if they're trust, doesn't fully believe, doesn't fully doubt, he's telling God we're out here, just waiting, we're constantly sinning, ruining our lives (We are taking sticks and stones And smashing our own cars) "Now where did you see that Do you really believe that Everything is changing whether or not you see it Something's gotta change Be it face or be it name" Everyone is bringing up new thoughts and ideas, new discoveries, everything's changing, people are still sinning, something has to change for the better, change your life, repent. "Be it face or be it name" is just like choosing which path you are going to take, whether to believe or to give up. "Now where did you read that, man You've got such sharp teeth, man Everybody's thinking it But no one wants to say it Everybody's got it coming whether or not they want to Change your face before we get to" Everyone will be judged, everyone will be tempted and laughed at "Change your face or change your name" The end is kind of a warning to decide and be prepared before your time comes and you aren't ready this song definately rocks I love the guitar and harmonica, i love his voice and passion... |
