'Some were ripe and some were rotten, I felt naseous with the truth' Yes I had also thought about that the fruit resembled the children who get to grow up and live (ripe), and the children who don't (rotten). Yes true, a great ending to his album. |

Yes I can't stop listen to that song.. ! So beautiful but sad at the same time. Conor Oberst is such an artist! His texts are so beautiful! 'Since the operation I heard you're breathing just for one' - for me it is obviously about an abortion. Who breaths for two? A pregnant woman..? Yes. Operation? Abortion? Sad :( 'Don't be so amazing or I miss you too much' touched me.. So sad but hard. But I'd like to know who is so amazing? The daydream of the unborn child? I don't know,, really liked to find out! Can't sleep with a stranger- does he feel like his girlfriend are a stranger now, because she did an abortion? Standing on a doorstep full of nervous butterflies Waiting to be asked to come inside. Is it by the hospital? I'm so eager to find out.. ! |

Yes I agree on you. The song is so catching.. But I can't agree with ShoKill that it makes me hot.. I find this song quite sad actually. I think it resembles some kind of feeling of pain and confusion. |
