Theres a simple solution to being annoyed with MTV - don't watch it ;).
And to be fair, when you say 'MTV is just out to make money!'... way to go? Fuckwit much? Its a company. Of course its out to make a quick buck off dumb teens. But just because a band is shown on MTV doesnt automatically ruin it. MTV'll show most popular music, so therefore by becoming popular, by your argument, it'll turn shit. And you know how things get popular? By being good at what they do. So, yeah, your annoyingly one sided 'alternative' viewpoints have trapped you into a spiral of bad niche bands or good bands who will get big, wherupon they'll be discarded by everyone. Stop being such elitist fuckheads and just enjoy the music, wherever it comes from. |

i get the image of some kind of weird posh mansion in the middle of some creepy woods, where weird cultists eat people alive, but they give them something to numb the pain, so that the victims can see themselves being eaten alive at some dinner table or something, but they're restrained so they can't do anything about it...

I always thought of this song as like almost a weird post-apocalyptic world where mosquitos have turned the table on humans and are killing them instead, except they're also, you know, eating them. But they're more cultured this time and they make human recipes and stuff. It really scared me. |
