pretty straight forward, boy and girl fall in love. she is taken, she is his bestfriend. on a cold night they kiss. he is pondering everything while keeping away from her. beginnig is his thoughts, then he recalls the events through thought. believes the two are destined to be. ends it by telling her that he craves her. "If your stomach feels weak, then my work here is done." is his feeling of satisfaction by releasing his emotion and feeling good about her possible reaction. believe me, first hand experience here. this one 3:36 minute song captures every feeling and thought, pretty much summarizes 1 month of my life. in case you were wondering just on the fourth of july we promised to never leave each other, as best friends we never broke a promise, i hope she does not start now :p |

two men hanging out. knock at the door. one man opens. a woman comes in. the man's old friend. the sitting man is impressed by her looks. he asks her to stay. the man that opened the door does not feel she wants to so he says you sound sleepy, so take this and leave me. once they were good friends but now she only comes to him for drugs. she decides to stay and they get high. the other man leaves leaving the two. he is not as high as her. he starts kissing him. he starts go too fast, asks her not to slow him down. she does not try to stop him. she is not like him. she does not belong among drugs. they do sex.(its a verb in this case, not noun, fucking english language) the high wears off on her during, he starts to feel he took advantage of her. he is not high enough. after its over the tension between the two lights the room on fire. she fixes her hair as he reminds her his world is not for her. she is angry for them doing sex, while he tries to be ok with what he did by saying a snarky remark |

I think he realizes that all relationships end in one way, or another. This girl tells him she likes him, or whatever, and he says no and rejects her. Through out the whole song he is thinking of going back, or taking her and being with her, but he says he doesn't regret the desicion.
This is by far my favorite song. It captures what I feel. See, I feel all relationships end, so why start something that is just going to end, there is no point to that. If either way I am going to end heart broken(tears falling on my grave). That's why I felt a strong connection to the song. This version captures perfectly how fast paced this way of thinking is. I am every where when I get something for a girl, or when I fall for a girl. I think of maybe telling her, not tell her because of my beliefs, screw it and just go for it, and I go back in circles over and over and over, hence the rewind, rewind, rewind part.
I think he thinks sort of the same way, but for different reason. He might just disappear and go on tour with the band, or something. Maybe that's why he had to reject this girl who he had something for, but he still thinks of going back and telling her how he feels.
Now this is just me and maybe it's something to do with him dying, but the way the words are put together really makes me like this song. |

I think it's just about a guy and a girl who get together for a one night stand. He doesn't like this girl, but he still goes through with it. In the morning she tries to convince him and talk to him, but he just calls her a lier and tells her it never happened. He might be ashamed to admit it happened in the first place. |
