I was once seeing a girl. At first we both didn't want to have a relationship, but we kept our fling going. After awhile it became obvious that she wanted to start a relationship with me. I did everything in my power, including manipulation, to see that this did not happen, so I could have my perceived freedom. Then I left to another city for a few months. I knew then, without her, that I was wrong, so when I came back I asked her to be my girlfriend. She was for a few months until recently when she moved to Europe. Now she is gone. Karma came back, because I took advantage of her and manipulated her. That is what this song reminds me of. |

This song might be the most beautiful song I've ever heard in the entirety of my life. It's definitely the best song of 2007 so far. I'm not sure exactly what it's about yet but maybe something about, for some reason or another, these two lovers can't be together. It's "Impossible." There's also some acknowledgment of commitment as something that "scares you." These lovers can't be together because they're afraid to commit, for whatever reasons (abandonment? past relationships?) I don't know yet, what do you guys think? This is such a moving song. |
