i think this song is telling to story of his first love. the first paragraph for me is saying that he didnt belive in love .. until he met HER. he then goes on to say how he lost everything, when he lost her. and while he realizes things will change ("But life is life. And things will change.") before you want them to ("Tomorrow comes today"). he still doesnt want her to go... so yeah .. pretty simple .. something many ppl have experience . wich is why it seems so relatable |

i think this song is about a persons life and what they achieve in it. using elvis and the metaphor. neil is commenting on the way it is better for a singer to die while he is famous and be remembered for this, rather than to live for another 30 yrs as somethign of an ex rock star. "the king is gone but he's not forgotten" .... i have to say that this song should b listened to more often . i think heard it once when i was younger and just gettin into music i would have been maybe 10 or 11 . and i didnt bother listening to it because it was slow. (BORING for a kid who was into metal) but when i got into nirvana and the whole kurt cobain thing i listened to it because i saw the reference in his suicide note .. and i have come torealyl like this song |

OMFG!!! this is gonna sounds really dumb to everyone else . but for the past like 12 montsh or so i have bin really into both slipknot AND stone sour and b4 readign these comments i didnt know corey was the lead singer coz id never bothered lookin up stuff abotu stone sour ... but im absolutely AMAZED!!!! he has a really good voice . wich is suprising considering all the screaming he does lol SHIT ! as for the meaning of the song. i havnt read many other ppls opinions on it is that he is singing about being depressed and the way ppl dont notice . and he jsut keeps going on .. at least this is how I see it . |
