i definately agree- but it's funny because before i read the comments, i thought it was about her husband. that some guy killed him and was sent to the courthouse in montgomery and she stayed mad at him for years for taking him out of this world. and when it says she knows she had help raising her kids, i thought she was referring to her husband in heaven. anyway, it makes a lot more sense as a metaphor for god. |

it hits him "like a violent wind" that every memory we have depends on false images. he follows that line with "but you were a truth i could depend on." as in you were the only thing real in my mind. i dont think sarah is the person dying..but whoever the person is, i think they are the only real person in his life. i think the imagery is almost an out of body experience. like he is watching the waiting room from a dream... its almost too overwhelming for him to experience while he is waiting... does anyone know what the last lines mean? "who is going to watch you die" as in who is going to love you?? does anyone have more explanation? |

i think this song is self-explanitory- basically he broke up with his girlfriend and all the thinking has started to make him crazy... "why do i worry, what do they think? what is she telling her friends, i cant ignore anything" he is going crazy thinking and thinking.. but seriously great song, im surprised more people havent commented on it.. also the title voices might refer to schizophrenia- maybe he is hearing voices because he has gotten so obsessed |

kaleidoscopes are really beautiful, they are made up of little tiny individual pieces. you can look at each piece by itself outside the kaleidoscope however, it is only when looking at the entire collection of pieces that you get the true meaning of it. she is referring to the way someone views her most likely a loved one- maybe this person sees the entire collection of her traits put together and finds it truely beautiful. also the part about "we melt into wine" maybe could be referring to the beauty of the collection of 2 people. like each person is individual but when put together something amazing appears.. |
