To me it sounds like a postlude to Bitter For Sweet, lyrically at least. If BFS has a video made for it, it would be cool if they replaced it's original, quiet, somewhat boring ending with this, like what was done with Prelude 12/21 and Miss Murder. |

To me, this song, in sound, is the ultimate dirge. As for the lyrics, there ARE numerous references to Alice In Wonderland (the Red Queen, the lack, beheading, etc.), but I think the part where he says, "I see my horror mirrored in the sundown a blank stare," is the result of his and Dita's relationship, meaning he sees an evil in her expression now that he didn't see before they were married, a darkest effect, and it scares him.
This song has got to be one of Manson's best. |
