| The Notorious B.I.G. – Machine Gun Funk Lyrics

My favorite line is "All I want is bitches/big booty bitches" hahaha, classic.
For me, I see this song as Biggie's tribute to guns. Or how guns were a crucial part of Biggie's drug dealing lifestyle. |

| Bikini Kill – Bloody Ice Cream Lyrics

This is my favorite Bikini Kill song. I agree with heidismells, the last 2 lines are the best part. I think the last line is a reference to the movement in woman's writing. Cursive is seen as a feminine "girly" type of script -- very delicate and harmless. By turning the cursive into knives means they're fighting back, knives have a vicious, violent undertone (but in this case it's in a good way). |

| Blatz – Cockroach Cafe Lyrics

When I listen to this song, I feel that they way it is sung is in a mocking manner. Reading the lyrics, maybe it's not so obvious, but I think that the song's about a girl that's more concerned about getting attention and losing weight to magically cure her problems than more important things. |

Obviously the song is talking about how hypocritical the people in Berkeley are. They're mocking the whole "hippie" persona people at the university take on. Pretty self-explanatory ... |

| Blatz – Fuk New York Lyrics

I have to disagree, I think the song's more specific than that. This song is a commentary on the New York hardcore scene. Jimmy Gestapo is singer of the New York based hardcore band Murphy's Law, shaved heads are associated with skin heads (also common in certain hardcore scenes), and "crew" I would imagine refers to hardcore crews. |

| Atmosphere – Bird Sings Why the Caged I Know Lyrics

I like the idea that the bird is a metaphor for politics. The bird looks down upon the workers and talks or "chirps" often but doesn't do anything (much like a politician). The bird could even be a metaphor for America itself or the government as a whole because Slug states in the last line "My beautiful bird has gone away," meaning that the idea of government of the United States isn't prevalent. |

I don't think that he's saying that P.O.S. is jealous or mad at him, seeing as P.O.S. is on Rhymesayers, Atmosphere's record label. |
