| 50 Cent – Candy Shop Lyrics | 18 years ago |

LOL There are a lot of stupid arguments on both sides. I just can't understand. How can some people think it isn't sexist? It's about whores... candy shop=brothel And come on... how the hell can you sing this to your girlfriend... oh, well, you only need to have misunderstood the single metaphor of the song (candy shop...) Ah, also, you cannot poo onto an entire style of music, there always is an exception within it, you know. I love it when someone says: I like this song, the beat is so hot! Well, it's computer generated, you know. Or : OMG FIFTY IS SO SEXY! oh? I guess it makes his music better? :D OH that song is so catchy! So what? it only makes it more annoying! "Well, it's not that bad, it's only meant to be that way." LOL Oh and by the way, racism sucks, guys. |

| Opeth – For Absent Friends Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think those friends are absent because they are no longer alive... I see it as a song dedicated to those who are no longer in this world... | |
| Opeth – The Drapery Falls Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I agree with waht you said, sadistic sniper, only I think that the in the lines below show more a desire to end is own life rather than hers. "Spiralling to the ground below, like Autumn leaves left in the wake to fade away." |

| Opeth – Deliverance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I've got a hard time understanding these lyrics. It sounds like the main character is mad, killed someone he loved to give/receive "deliverance" in a moment of madness. (wait to see / your spirit free ) He seems to attribute this act to the devil, which is maybe a way for him to explain his acts to himself, or an image for his madness. In the end it looks like he realises that he hasn't delivered the loved being at all, and maybe that death is simply the end of all. |

| Opeth – The Leper Affinity Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I've another possible meaning: the one we think is a rapist is in fact leprosy itself. It could be the illness speaking in the way of a character. | |
| Opeth – The Leper Affinity Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think it is made to get us to think it's about rape at first, but I think it's not. My guess is that theres only one character, mutilating himself. "Lost are days of Spring You sighted and let me in" Could be a kind of mental disorder speaking to its victim? "Keep the beast inside Shackled within my hide Screaming out too late Losing to my hate Grew together with your skin And paced the trails of sin" Looks like someone who hates himself for whatever sin he has (or thinks he has) done and harms himself as a punishment, no? Well, my two cents! |

| Opeth – Master's Apprentices Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"A sickness in me Constant pace towards the end" "There is a peace I am searching There is a freedom I'm depending on There is a pain that's never ending There is a rain falling only on me There is a dream I am living There is a life I am dreaming of There is a death I'm awaiting There is a home I am deserting " "Take what I have and deliver me Into everlasting sleep " I think this song is about depression and suicide... Am I the only one to sense a will to die into this? |
