first off, to cutie, my interpretation is that someone before said that music was recorded first, and then the vocals were done, so i think head laughing could be totally unrelated to Jon's crying, not sure. but on the dvd is it not head that after Jon is crying Head says something like "see that, that is the best singer in the world, and hes in my band" and then hugs him?? im not sure if im right, working off memory also, the woman singing at the end, might be a nursery rhyme or something, i tried looking up its lyrics but found nothing, it sounds like it says "when you lie awake, i will see your eyes/lies/light, mother wake me, from my dream" its something like that, so i think it was just fitting into the song amazing, emotionally powerful song tho =]

guess il attempt the non-christian way, being that myself. the song could be about being guilty of not living our lives as much as we should. Though the he that she refers to is most likely God

it can stil easily be interpretted as a love song, it was me and my ex-gf's song, cause we both were in love before and got hurt and so we made each other feel good again. I'm sure its a God song though if all them light things and all are right, but then again, a lightsaber wasnt a god reference....lol

ok im an atheist but i love this song, to me its about a r'ship fallin apart, and not being a nice person, then the friendship builds again, and your telling them your sorry and why you became that way
