I have a slightly different approach to this... "I see nothing in your eyes And the more I see the less I like" He's in love with a girl, but she's with someone else. Whenever he looks into her eyes, he sees sadness, & sorrow. & he doesn't like what he sees. "Is it over yet? In my head" It's killing him to see her like this. "I know nothing of your kind And won't reveal your evil mind" He doesn't know how to help her, because she won't tell him what's wrong. "Is it over yet? I can't win" He can't stand to see her like this. "So sacrifice yourself And let me have what's left I know that I can find The fire in your eyes I'm going all the way Get away please" He's telling her to leave the person that she's with, & let him have what's left of her. He's knows that he can find waht's bothering her, & he'll go all the way to find out. & when he does (maybe she's in an abusive relationship or something) he just wants her to get away. You take the breath right out of me And left a hole where my heart should be You gotta fight just to make it through 'Cause I will be the death of you She's reluctant to leave the person she's with, & it breaks his heart that she wants to stay with the guy that's hurting her. He's saying that even though she may love him, she's got to fight to make it through, to leave him. To get out. "This will be all over soon Pour the salt into the open wound" He knows this won't last much longer. Things are just getting worse. "Is it over yet? Let me in" He's waiting for it to all end. Waiting for her to get out of the relationship, & let him in. "I'm waiting I'm fading Realize Stop hiding" He's waiting for her, but he doesn't know how much more of this he can take. & she needs to realise, & stop hiding. That's just how I read it. :) |
