My post from above was a long time ago and now that i read it all I have to say is wow. I left so many parts out to this song. Let me start by saying this has to be my favorite song of all time just because it seems to relate to my life perfectly it's scary. First off "I'm a blue collar man had a hammer in my hand for the last few years of my life. Working double overtime while you sleep alone at night. Baby I know it's been a long hard ride" I know what you are thinking, but you do not necessarily have to be blue collar, but just work really hard at your job because you want to provide for the people you love. From all this hard work he sometimes forgets to say the things that mean the most to most women, but he wants her to know that he does. "Sometimes I forget to say I love you, but baby please know that I do. Who hasn't been working so hard that they forget to say or do something. The chorus relates to me the most and I believe to most people (Women included even though this is targeted towards men.) "I live this life everyday, I make my share of mistakes and every lesson I've learned I've learned the hard way" This is a big one for me. He is stating that he gets up and does what he needs everyday no matter what, no excuses. During some of his days he makes mistakes as everyone does every now and then. The thing is the mistakes he makes he learns from them "the hard way" which means from experience. "I do the best that I can and I hope you understand, After all I'm just a man. He is stating that even though he might not be perfect he does the best he can. He hopes his girl understands that he is doing it for her. He is not superman. He is just a man. He understands his girl wants a little more that what he can give her at the moment. Hence "I found a postcard that you saved it's turned yellow with age of a beautiful place in the sun." She wants a vacation with him so they can spend time together. He knows that he has been putting it off. " We've been saying every year that we're gonna go there and runaway just the two of us." The reality of it is that he has to work really hard to achieve that dream it just doesn't fall into your lap. "Well I put that picture back on your dresser. Grab my keys I gotta get back to work. All in all this song is the shit. It explains everything that has happened to me in relationships and life up to this point. All I can say is I'm Just A Man.

This song is about a guy who is not over his girl. He sees her somewhere and explains to her that he wants her to tell everyone that he knows friends, parents, anyone they both know that he is doing fine. When in reality he is a wreck. He wants her to tell everyone that he is ok. He wants her to lie to everyone, but THE TRUTH is he is a wreck because of her and he still needs her.

This song is about a guy who's girl left him because he was never around plus made her feel bad "all the angry things I said" the thing is he can't take them back, but it doesn't matter anyways because she is gone. The moral of the story is he can never forget her or let go EVEN IF HE WANTED TO.

This song is about a relationship gone bad. The girl he was broke it off. He is moving on and just wants to leave town. "Hanging my hopes on highway signs." Everything he wanted or dreamed about he has to leave behind while driving on the highway. He explains there is no way he can get the love back. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. Just like putting smoke back in a cigarette.

This song is about a truck driver who has to work hard and sacrifice being with his girl to make ends meet. He has to get up early each morning to drive truck loads to different parts of the country. He explains "I don't want to leave your side" The best part of the song is when he expalins "I'm on a ride that won't let me go." This means he has to do what he has to do in order to provide people with what they need around the country, but also for his wife. All he wants to do is be with her. He " sees her picture by the dashboard light and it takes me where I'd like to be" Who hasn't been away from someone they care about and all they can think about is that person.

This song is about a man who can't forget his ex girlfriend. At the beginning of the song he "finds a box of memories" which is easy he finds things in a box that remind him of his ex. Once he starts remembering, the feelings start flooding in and he must start drinking to try and forget, but the thing is "her memory is getting the best of him" causing him to drink. Causing him to get angry "punching the walls and carrying on like i've gone insane."
