this song is amazing. when they played it live everyone couldnt help but dance. i think its how he had a rough childhood. sure their music is somewhat childlike and playful. but thats just cos theyre new and different and exactly what we need in todays music scene. and it seems like he's singing to a child. "but you, you have a mind full of wonderment i'll never find 'cause i was never young" almost like a release. he wants this child to experience what childhood is all about. the care-free innocense of doing nothing. and being happy and content. |

well, if you remember the first part of the song "i left you with nos-a-bleedin and your toes creepin around." so, maybe he's reffering the "soft" part to a hooker who he just picked up cos he was bummed about the loss. and he cant get "off" cos its not the girl he left..... thats just what i think... |

| i think the "staus" of the dears will always be "underground." they're an amazing outfit. but they aren't signed on a major label. so the odds of some big music producer just picking up their record is slim. i love this song. the new album is amazing. more...down to earth than no cities left and end of a hollywood bedtime story. if any of you have nor the dahlias/ you know that thats their "early stuff" its amazing. and the new album has that same feel. great guitar and wailing vocals....."im gonna change im gonna change im gonna change!!" perfect song! | |
