I also think it's 'and get to travel round the world' instead of 'and get in trouble round the world'. This also fits the verse better as in, they're all pregnant and stuck and I get to travel around the world. I love this song, it's really a pick-me-up song :) |

To me this is the best song on the album. I think she is telling Carey was the one that made her stronger, that brought out the best in her. I'm not sure if the 'It's all your fault' is meant as a positive thing (because he changed her for the better) or a negative thing (because she's having a hard time staying 'beautiful' without him). The first few times I listened to the song, I actually thought she sang 'I would never cry a river, but I've cried wolf a thousand times.' which I thought was a cool line. But the actual line works too :) |

| This song is very catchy, I can listen to it over and over again. To me it seems she compares the fears she had for Carey when he raced his motorcycle, with the fear she has now because she is alone again. I'm not sure though. | |

"Found a way to blue" To me, this sounds like he found a way to feel sad... "And another ghost to follow" ...or better yet, to feel sorry about himself. He his making something up so he can feel sad. Said "it's only up to you" Unfortunately, since he's done this before, he learnt that it doesn't help blaming or using ghosts to not take your life into your own hands. And that's the hardest pill to swallow." The fact that you need to take responsibility for yourself at some point, is the hardest thing to do. "One foot in the grave One foot in the shower" I think this means he's at a point where he either gives up completely, or that he's about to wash his troubles off to give himself a new start. I don't really have an idea what most of the other lines mean, but I like this song a lot regardless. Like many others, I too found this and many other awesome songs on Grey's Anatomy... great show :) |

When listening to the song with the meaning in mind, I've gotten great respect for Josh for writing such a great song! I agree with CryingFromMyWrist that it could also be interpreted as sarcastic. That she's actually quite negative, but people around her try to keep her positive. "I'm short, but I'm healthy", like people tell her, yes you're short, but you're healthy! And she's telling the people around her that "everything's gonna be fine fine fine" to keep them happy. What it all boils down to, is in what state of mind you are when listening to this song and that's the beauty of the song. |
