I love Hot Hot Heat! I like this...I heard it live first at their Leeds Fest set and it was awesome. It's a bit poppier, but that's not a bad thing. Can't wait for the new album :D Cat x p.s Anyone else think Steve Bays is a bit yummy?? |

I don't know why, but I really like the line: "You know when you've found it, That's something I've learned, 'Cause you feel it when they take it away" I can't personally identify with it, but there's just something very...real...about it. I love the strings ending too...it's really simple but really pretty. |

I wish the right lyrics were up here...they're so much better than these ones! Beautiful song though. I love the fact that it's a capella too - makes it even more haunting. |

Love this song! It's so summery! It has the words "C'mon now honey, bring it on, bring it on yeah!" in falsetto vocals and is still cooler than a whole fieldful of cucumbers! I don't think the meaning is as deep or sombre as lots of other people here do though - I think it just sounds like a guy who sees a girl he used to be friends with when he was young but kinda lost touch with, realises she's actually really hot now they're all grown up and decides to let her know that...y'know...he wouldn't say no. Bit sure of himself if you ask me :] Oh, and the handclaps?? Genius! |

| Joni Mitchell – Both Sides Now Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Blown. Away. This song is amazing! The fact that it's changed to the artist and is delivered differently by them in a more mature recording makes it so real - it's not just a tool to provoke thought, it's a solid component of the artist's life. My music teacher at primary school made us sing this - I'm really not sure it's an appropriate song for seven-year olds to sing. Hearing a choir of tiny kids (including tiny Cat) sing this must have been like seeing a baby smoking a cigarette! |

"The skies are dark - they're dark but their clear" love that line. |

Bit of a masterpiece isn't it really? The first ever time I heard it was live at an outdoors gig in summer - what a way to fall in love with a song! Love the trumpet. |
