| Ashe – Cry for You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Wow... Many websites think this song is by Tool... WHICH IS WRONG. This sounds nothing like Tool. I actually like this song a lot though, so I'm getting more from Ashe. | |

The song is a real simple. Anthony is explaining some of the random encounters he's had around the world. "Bout the mutha fuckin girls of California" refers to his early relationships in Cali before they got huge. They were all drug-filled and empty love. "Been back from Bombay" is refering to his visit with the Dahli Llama. Any reference to a state is one he's either had a memorable sexual expirience in, or a place he's lived. And other locations such as "Sittin in the Swiss mountains" is either talking about his relationships turn to "mountains" of drugs with girls... or he might have simply toured in the Swiss mountains. Also... a lot of this song may not be his own personal experiences, but rather those he's heard of his father. Read Anthony's book Scar Tissue. It's filled with great stories and makes their songs easier to understand. |

| Tool – Parabola Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| My personal belief to the lyrics of the song is not about the process of birth, but rather spiritual and physical rebirth and the fear and pain one must endure to find it. The song Parabol centers on ideas of rebirth in my mind with lines like "so familiar... and overwhelmingly warm" as if he's entering the next stage in life, it is new and refreshing, yet is familiar. The lines shift into a different direction once it becomes Parabola. I feel the meaning is now life and the struggles of it all up until the final verse. He mentions that "this pain is an illusion" as if it will eventually leave us all and we and the rest of the world will end. The last verse ties it all up, and he has wasted too much time on simple little Earth and is taking his descent/ascent into someplace new and beautiful, whatever his believes is beyond in Heaven or Hell or "what came before." | |
