They opened for switchfoot - thats awesome - that must have been an amazing gig! This song is totaly amazing - i believe its about God - well i sing it about God because its a much more amazing love than that of a guy or girl - its eternal love - Wow! did u not hear him say God instead of Yeah when live - im sure i did?! Nehow whatever people want to get out of the lyrics i guess but God is still totally amazing. |

Ahh this is the most amazing song like ever - esecially now that ive read those comments too - so basically the Mute Math guy just wants to surrender everything to God and give Him the controls - that is totally want we all need to be doing - that way God can work through us and use us to the full pertentual God wants us to be. i absolutle love this song and it is amazing when they do it live too but it does confuse me when it comes to its lyrics - i think its a 'why are us humans soo stupid and dnt just turn to God - why don't we just put our trust in God and let Him led us through life. Thats what i get from it nehow! |

Yep pretty much to all 3 of u - i think they are just saying we are all made by God and for God - to live our lives for Him so fly like eagles - free souring eagles living fully for their purposes - our purposes are to show God's love to the people around us - and worship God - He is amazing after all - He deserves it! |

burreyeant u totally know what ur talking about - actually alot of u do when it comes to these words - switchfoot are soo amazing! Live and die for bigger things - we should be aiming to glorify God in everything we do not aim to be richer or whatever... God has purpose's for all of us and one of those is to worship and glorify Him in our lives and actions. Switchfoot do this within there songs as do other great bands too - Anberlin, mutemath etc. God's put these people in these positions - we should be praying for them too... sorry little extra there! (im also British and feel the same way - this song could be called British Dream too - we as humans should be aiming to help and love each other not fight or get rich or whatever! God is totally the only answer to this. |

So i think the lyrics are really important as thats were alot of people (myself included) get alot of inspiration and whatever but i have some friends who are much more into the music and 'feeling' of the song - one said recently to me that christian songs just have a different feel whether u listen to the words or not - i guess this is becuase they have the Holy Spirit in them and are singing with Gods power - that obviosly means its guna be amazing - and therefore to me means that even if i dnt like the style of music its soo ace that they are out there bringing inspirational music to different people - everyone needs to hear about God's love - not nessicarily directly (like this! lol.) just through the feeling of a song! (much like seeing Gods love through our actions speaks louder than words!) Does that make sense - i hope so! Just thought id put my thoughts down in this beautiful comment box - i love switchfoot and saw them last term in bradford! They were amazing!! |

this song totally confused me at first but then i properly listened to it and the gold dream part and being able to have everything he ever wanted - hiddendragon - that makes loadsa sense - and also the comments earlier are soo true too (well most of them nehow - wont commit myself to them all!) 'A heart thats made of gold cant really beat at all' the fame and money etc mite look nice but its not the life he is meant to be living - God has a different and better plan for us - his live when he truthfully wakes up - that kinda amazing life is what God wants for us all! u lot are all ace - live for God He is awesome! |

I think this song is 1stly amazing and 2ndly definatly about betrail but it says to me that friendships are really important and that we should aim for friendships with people (male and female) and aim to keep the friendships whatever happens. God calls us to love the people around us 'love ur neighbour' and all so we should aim to do so in all we do. I think also the part about 'a life without reason, your life has no purpose' God has a purpose for all of us. |

I think that whether they say they are a christian band or not they are definatley christian lyrics - i am pretty sure this one is about the Holy Spirit and about how amazing the Holy Spirit is and how it helps us to get closer to God and to worship and live for God! It is also amazing music - they are very talented - Anberlin Rock! They are awesome!
Also i don't think its relevant what they say as he said himself (u say bbqhamster - i dnt actually no this personally) its more about what people are getting out of the music - he wants to touch all types of people with Gods love. |
