It is an amazing song, no doubt. The line "You say go slow; I fall behind" confuses me a little bit though. I'm not sure what the meaning behind it is. I thought Quietdrive's cover of this song was really good. Those of you who haven't checked it out should.. if it seeks your interest. |

Wow, I love this song. :] I think it's pretty self-explanitory. Abuse. Girls shouldn't take it, neither should guys. Emotional or physical. I think it's awesome these guys are standing up for all of the girls in the abusive realtionships there are today, & trying to give them the courage to end it. To not take it anymore. Brilliant. |

Okay, so I have spent some more time listening to this song.. (how could you not) ..and I think I have finally figured out what I think is the meaning of this song..or atleast part of it. :] I think in the first part where he says: "I’m coming up only to hold you under, I’m coming up only to show you wrong" he is trying to say that he could continue arguing, starting rumors, and making things difficult with this person..but he doesn't want to steep down to their level. He's showing them wrong by not continuing this inmaturity they had started in the beginning. You shouldn't spend the time you have with the people around you ignoring, or holding a big grudge against them..no matter how big the argument. The least you could do is try to solve the problem..not make it worse. You never know when time will run out: "And every occasion I will be ready for the funeral" ..death is something that you can't control..that's why you always have to be ready for it. Why be mad at somebody you truely care for when you could really regret it in the end? |
