i'm only seventeen and i thought doing this might be fun. so yeah... here i go. Jesus Christ, that’s a pretty face, the kind you’d find on someone that could save. If they don’t put me away, well it’ll be a miracle. - i think jesse is talking about how great Jesus looks and everything but he doubts if jesus can really save him from hell Well Jesus Christ I’m alone again, so what did you do those three days you were dead? ‘Cuz this problem’s gonna last, more than the weekend. - jesse might be saying that when jesus died, he went to hell for those three days,and now jesse is wondering how he himself will be able to survive his own "hell" Well Jesus Christ, I’m not scared to die, I’m a little bit scared of what comes after. Do I get the gold chariot? Do I float through the ceiling? - obviously he knows hes gonna die, since everyone does, but he's scared where he'll go. he wonders if he'll go to heaven or not. self-explanatory. Do I, divide, and fall apart? ‘Cuz my bright, is too sly, to hold back all my dark. - i might be completely wrong, but when he says when he divides, could it possibly mean that when his soul leaves his body, will he fall to hell. and then i think when he says that his bright is too sly he might be saying that he looks like a good person outside, but his outside bright or glow can't hold back his dark inside. And the ship, went down, in sight of land. And at the gates, does Thomas, ask to see my hands - i think he saying that his ship, or his voyage started to sink just when he spotted heaven (sight of land) the reference to Thomas is because thomas doubted and had to see Jesus's hands to believe, so he thinks Thomas might doubt Jesse getting into heaven so he's making a "hand-check." I know you'll come in the night like a thief. But I’ve had some time alone, to hold my lions at bay - i know that the first line is a reference to the Rapture and its randomity (i just made that word up) but i have no idea on the second line, i'm only 17. well i got other stuff to do, so i'll just skim over the last two sections. i know they're amazing and stuff, but i got other work. Please forgive me Brand New! We've all got wood and nails. so anyways he knows Jesus will try to save him even though he and everyone in the world is crucifying Him. thanx thanx if you read this. people usually think i'm stupid so i don't mind if people think what i think is stupid. anyways. it was fun. |
