Viktor Vaughn – Lactose and Lecithin Lyrics 14 years ago
It just boggles my mind that nobody has commented on this track yet.

Okay, I'll go first. "WOW. OKAY. THIS MIGHT BE THE GREATEST REPRESENTATION OF A COMIC NOIR AS RAP SONG TO EVER EXIST."

Just so beautifully visual, speaking in some Nadsat-esque slang that takes dedication and ingenuity to decipher. Looks like he's done a good job, since nobody has said a damned thing since VV's 2003 masterpiece. Let's see if we can keep him shrouded in mystery for a decade, eh?

WTF?? Where did you get "blow job" from?!

He's DEFINITELY saying "corn dog".

Did you get the pre-order compact disc from Wal-Mart?

Sounds like it's about the classic conundrum of one's inability to understand the world around them before they "clock out". Hey, the title even sounds like "conundrum"!

Instead of trolling, you should exercise.

Much more fulfilling.

This song seems to be about perception and development. He seems to be describing general experiences children endure as they learn to...well, learn. I feel another theme of this song is that life goes by so quickly, light flashes through us so fast, it's as if nothing happened at all.

and every time they say

"we walk into the sun"

it's actually:

"we walked into the sun"

Yes, I am a stickler.

The walk is taking days

is actually:

The walk is still a ways

I think some people divulge into topics far too cryptic for any song when interpreting lyrics from a merely simple band. I know this song isn't about any one particular topic whatsoever.

I simply think this is just saying "Look at all we have been through and solved before, as humans, and we won't let any modern struggles tear us down, as our other generations did not either."
