I don't think this song is about abortion or suicide. I think all of the suicide reference is completely metaphorical. The gun is basically all of the shit he's done thrown back into his face and he has to live with the consequence of his actions. But, if there really is a gun, who's to say that it's he who is holding it? It could, though not likely, be that someone else is holding the gun to him. He messed up along the way and someone has decided to make him pay for his decisions. I don't know, and I don't care too much. I just love this song. That's all there is to it. |

i'm not a huge fan of minutes to midnight by any means. i much prefer linkin park's older songs, but this song is the exception for me. i love this song. it's such a change of pace for them, and they performed this song perfectly. it's completely different from their usual tone and they rocked at it. the lyrics enthrall me. i adore this song. |

I don't care what anyone says; this song revolutionized modern pop music. Its peppy beat draws in the listener, despite the simple and stupid, yet fun and catchy, lyrics. That's how most pop music is today. Most of the lyrics are shit, but it has a fun beat, so people love it nonetheless. This song definitely started that trend. Rock on, Spice Girls. I would love to see them on their tour. |
