The music video does relate to song. Shadow of the Day is about darkness around us and so Joe used the civil war because that is a kind of a darkness around us(he said it himself).Also you can relate the song to the video this way: I close both locks below the window. I close both blinds and turn away. Sometimes solutions aren't so simple. Sometimes goodbye's the only way. He is ingnoring what is happening around him(ie the war) and goes on with his business. Suicide? Do we need to relate every slow song to suicide? Has anyone noticed this: And the sun will set for you, The sun will set for you. And the shadow of the day, Will embrace the world in grey, And the sun will set for you.... the shadow and darkness of the day are embracing him, but the sun is setting for him so that there is no darkness of the day around him anymore. also at the end its changed to 'shadow after day'...meaning that the darkness prevailed after day but he has the sun on his side and its up to him to move on |

Did anyone notice that it kinda sounds like One Step Closer, even with the meaning? Anyway great album. It is true this is more of a Brad, Chester album than the previous ones which were Mika, Joe Hahn(I'm talking about Reanimation and Collision Course), Meteora and Hybrid Theory were the projects of the whole band. I think it's a nice change, of course they could have put more rapping in it, but what the hell. Let's see how will the go from here... |

I think the new album is great, the only thing missing is mike shinoda's rapping, but if you look back at Reanimation or Collision Course, even Meteora, Chester didn't have much time on the tracks. So here he comes. Besides Mike's done Fort Minor so I think he doesn't mind. This album is more about Chester, I think. But it's good, especially given up. It reminds me of One Step Closer. It's fast and and sounds very angry. |

This is a great song and i can't believe no one commented on it yet. I think it can be understood from two points of view: The player point of view, he goes around and tries all the girls and now is tired about it. That would be if the 7 o'clock was meant 7am. If ti was 7pm, i think it makes sense as a guy's in love with this girl, but can't get himself to tell her, yet she already knows and she seems to like him to, but he just won't make his move and rather waits for her to make het move.... |
