I believe it means that he is extremely hurt over the end of the relationship and wants to get rid of all the things that remind him of the times with her. Then he tells all his friends he is glad it's over and is doing ok, but he is actually devastated and just waiting to die. I could be wrong though. |

I think it's about a guy that's in love with a girl and has trust issues and ended it with her because the pain of uncertainty of whether she might cheat on him or leave him was at the time thought to be more pain than leaving her, but then he regrets it and wishs he would have just delt with the pain of his insecurities. |
