Manchester Orchestra – Wolves at Night Lyrics 16 years ago
i know they are christian and i don't know how i would work this into an explanation of the song but i feel like he's the bad guy in this song.

lines like "no matter what Christian language you drag it through" make its sound like hes is mocking her for trying to defend herself with religion.

and when he says "I've got to crucify myself if I am gonna believe you" it seems like maybe hes using the word crucify to put what he's saying in terms she can understand (perhaps mocking again)

the "I swear I did what I could for your rights,
You swear you did what you could for my eyes" could be that hes looking at it (abortion?) from a law stand point (abortion is legal) where as she is trying to OPEN his eyes to god and christian beliefs (prolife).

saying "i confide in wolves at night" just further establishes him as the sinner.

Third Eye Blind – Non-Dairy Creamer Lyrics 16 years ago
tru dat.
i feel like he missed it. like he had the feeling but then when he was searching for the perfect lyrics that would change our lives and perspectives...he had nothing. he was going for a deep, inspirational political song but ended up with this wannabe. it could have been so much stronger.

The Offspring – Kristy, Are You Doing OK? Lyrics 17 years ago
i really like this song.
a lot of songs about sexual abuse are really cliched and cheesy.
they take away from the seriousness of the matter.
this song is simple, honest, and touching.

Paramore – Conspiracy Lyrics 18 years ago
i also think its two people
her-"Please speak softly, for they will hear us
And they'll find out why we don't trust them"

lover?/friend-"Speak up, dear, cause I cannot hear you I need to know why we don't trust them"

but it also kinda sounds like she was counting on the second person to know what she was talking about. but they don't and so she's like OMG your one of THEM.

sounds like she did something to make herself a social outcast but she doesnt know what she did

"Cause I need to know to whom do I owe"

she thought she was in. she thought everone liked her and it was all good. but sudenly things aren't so clear or secure for her

"Explain to me this conspiracy against me
And tell me how I've lost my power "

Meg & Dia – Rebecca Lyrics 18 years ago
this song is good
it does a pretty good part protraying the book
well the FIRST part of the book anyway
a lot of things in it our actually said in the book
i sort of wish it was more about the ending and climax. that was way intense

YOUR ALL WRONG!!!!!
i completely disagree with everyone.
ive been a dedicated brand new fan sinse i was 11
it is COMPLETELY clear that the song is niether about
getting a cd out or some girl. its OBVIOUSly about
jesse lacey getting a cavity. when he says "we don't believe in filler baby" he is saying that he doesn't believe in filling his teeth when he gets cavities. the oonly problem is jesse knows he NEEDs to get his teeth fixed but he procrastinates. he says he can't sleep BECAUSE his teeth cause him so much agony. Jesse is not acutally saying "no one sleeps till we get this shit out on the shelf" he is REALLY saying "no one sleeps till we get this shit outta my TEETH" im sorry you are all such idiots you couldn't pick up on these obvious clues but the facts show that jesse is indeed talking about his teeth.
