I think the beginning lyrics of this song (so i woke up...) serve to show the listener that the beginning "drone" section of the album is about to end and the listener will wake up to a new, more poppy section. Also, i have seen the photo this song is based off of, and it makes total sense when viewed while listening to the song. |

I talked to Bradford about this song, and he said it is named after Theodor Adorno. The meaning came from an article he read about a homeless guy who thought he was the second coming. Basically, "tales cross" means that the homeless guy couldn't decide whether he was homeless (sleeping on the floor) or jesus (nailed to the cross). I think this is one of the best songs ever. |
