| It think it's about conformity. The people who want to be elite, but do so by going through life in the dark (hence, they're sleepwalking), under the cloaks of shadows. They think if they become part of this sleepwalking elite, they can be considered cool again. | |

Nothing to say for the last time, Just want to sink his will. Like a predator's prey in the cold, slowly starts to show. Assurance is what they need. Hold the lion until it's fed. It's still only morning But the fly's surfaced. The elephant doesn't have to say anything in order to sink his will into that of his followers. The elephant is a predator and, though appearing friendly and good-natured at first, slowly starts to unravel. As long as his followers remain in assurance he can keep them in lion ("hold the lion until its fed"). He's tries to condition them early on, thus he is revealed to the surface. I'm probably over-analyzing it, but that's my take on it after many repeated listenings. |

I think the white elephant is a metaphor. "White" meaning pure, and elephant meaning "something "large". Something larger than life, or at least pretending to be. When Pete says, "Visit Again", I think he's being sarcastic because then he asks who sent it to loom or stick around. "Shall we sever everything" refers to giving up your own life to follow the pure white elephant. But then comes the bridge, and Pete uses crows (which are black) to symbolize the white elephants hypocrisy. If the elephant was so pure, it would tread down a dark path. "Really beginning to scare and plotting to comb the grounds" means the elephant is revealing its true intentions and wants to control every single aspect around it regardless of the consequences it may have for others. |
