this song is phenomenal live, when he changes the arrangement to piano and violin. it's one of the best things i've ever witnessed.
i lovelovelove the recorded version as well. i like the using sex as a metaphor thing that was mentioned, i agree witht that. |

Yes, when he plays this live, he usually adds on the lyrics that are in the booklet but not on the album version.
When he performed this at the Tate Modern gallery on Saturday, for the Nan Goldin photohraphy show, he added them in, as pictures of 'death' were being shown behind, and also he added the line 'they're all still with us'. So many people were crying, and I wasn't ever there. :( So many people have told me about it though, and the video of it beind performed is on youtube, and also the mp3s of that night are too (they're all really clear quality as well). |

i think the first bit is about relationship problems, but the problem can't really be worked out - it's unclear what exactly the problem is. and also, of insecure feelings within a person. hhhmm. |

i really can't stand any of mika's music, except for this song. i just heard it in a television programme and it completely enchanted me, i had to find out who it was. man, was i shocked when i found out it was mika. love it though. |

this is one of my all time favourite times. it reminds me of so many things, one of them being the holiday i had this year where i met this amazing guy and he put on this song in the background and i was like 'omg this is my favourite song' lolll.
anyway, it has the most amazing line in it 'sometimes the hardest thing, and the right thing are the same' as soon as i turn eighteen (not long now yay) i'm getting that as a tattoo. i'm not sure where yet though. hhmm. |

I've always heard it as 'I can never live here' even when playing it through the one speaker as suggested. I love how everyone hears a different thing.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to hear it backwards. Anyone know an easy way how? |
