out of every song with "little" in the title on each album, this definatly the best also around 2 minutes into the song meg and white do thier signature "gutiar riff vs. drum banging" where they both get faster and faster thrn finally fall back into the orignal pace and nicely spotted weezday with this and death letter both songs seemed the same to me but i just thought it was the 12 bar blues niceee and amazing song |

at first i'd like to say i like the comments here gave me a much wider perspective of wat this song is about heres wat i pull from it as many think, i think it has to do with todays culture and how shallow it is but also especially about tv and how it has a never ending control over ppl also its funny (in a perverted and disgusting yet ture way) that as more time passes, this song represents our culutre more and more its like a bucket that keeps on filling up, theres more and more meaning to this song as time passes the funny thing is that the bucket is being filled with the shallowness of our culture also this verse seems semi-satrical to me: "Fools," said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows. Hear my words that I might teach you, Take my arms that I might reach you." But my words like silent raindrops fell, And echoed In the wells of silence it is showing that the fools words mite teach them or mite not (saying that they dont have meaning) and they're (the fools) arms mite reach them (the false comfort of tv possibly?) hmm all of the things mite happen except 4 one the words that fell and didnt get to the fools or anyone and it echoed in the wells of silence that represents the lost meaning of culture that fell into the well of silence well anyway it is an interseting song and also if u only know the acustic version the electric gutair version is great listen to it and if u know the electric guitar version the acustic version doesnt have the (untentionaly irony of silence perhaps?) that the electric gutiar version has, but both are amazing im srry if my interpretation is not well written i am tired but i hope this shows u another side of the song thx for reading =) |
