| Iron Savior – Watcher In The Sky Lyrics

(Pretty much?) all their songs are about the Iron Savior in one way or another. This is my favorite from them so far, having only heard the debut album - again so far.
It's not all machine, though, it appears to have a human brain ("Ripped - ripped out of my body") which is talked about in an earlier song on the album... which would explain why it feels sadness and loneliness. |

Note that the next track on the album (Once Sealed in Blood) is the followup to this song! :) |

mis-an-thro-py, noun. a dislike of humankind.
Odium Generis Humani = "Hatred for the Human Race"
Pretty much says it all. Awesome song. |

I think this one's pretty obvious... I couldn't resist posting about how damn great this song is, though!! |

First song I wrote down by ear (as opposed to reading the booklet + listening) for this site. I'm pretty sure the lyrics are correct, possibly with the exception of one word, which does fit in the context, though.
In any case, great song. Also, Dan Swanö is a genius, the man can do anything that has to do with music. |

This is awesome beyond words, and I too agree that it tops the original Crimson, at least musically. I'm not saying the lyrics are bad, they are on the contrary among the best I can think of, but so are the lyrics of the original Crimson :) |

Best song ending ever, lol. There's a few words missing after "I'm gonna have a big house!" that I can't make out at all. |

Yeah, they were definately married.
"Broke the vow I thought you made, my angel, why" refers the the wedding vows,
"Pacta sunt servanda" is latin for "pacts must be respected", also referring to their marriage.
Awesome, awesome song. Probably their best. |

Could also be about a broken relationship, now that I read the lyrics again.
"Are you there, dear old friend? I really miss you
`Cos I can`t feel your beats unless my hand`s on my chest" - could be taken literally, he can't feel his heart anymore, since it's "broken"
"Guidance, please! Now don`t you shut down again
Your guidance ceased and I fell down, I still don`t stand"
Possibly another metaphor with a physical heart and a "broken heart".
Bah. I'm bad at interpreting songs, and I have trouble expressing myself too, so who knows... I sure don't. ;) |

Agreed, great song. Could be about anything really, but it strikes me as if it's about some form of addiction. |
