I agree with what everyone's said but i think he could even be referring to the rapture. Like in the verses, he's talking like he's a christian going through the motions, attending church, but not really having a relationship with god, never really found faith himself. e.g: "I never learned to walk the surface on my own" Then Jesus returns, and it all becomes clear to him and he realises what's happened. "When every word you ever said came true All I missed in all of this was you." And the bridge just to me shows further he's been left behind. "So take me in these fleeting moments of solitude in you" Everyone's gone and he embracing Jesus' sacrifice and asking him to be with him through the "fleeting" 7 years of tribulation. Like I said, bit different, but that's how I interpret it. Love Project! Cheers for another great song Andy! |
