| I think this song is more about the author losing faith in humanity. He talks about people being just actors and motivated only for personal gain. This is clearest in the couple of lines about seeing through things. He cannot see the point of engaging and liking humans when they have such selfish desires and are so easy to doubt. This doesn't really explain the last verse, but I think I'll just say that Isaac is just applying this to himself (or maybe just being abstract as in other MM songs sometimes). Great Song :) | |
