Me again... I wish I was more like the simple headed jack! in the respect that even though the "the big fat one" is obviously nasty to jack, he still has the grace to save him from drowning and even then does not expect "the big fat one" to change his ways or stop being nasty... Jack saves him simply because it is the right thing to do... I think probably all of us could learn something from jack. Its a beautiful song on every level. |

AMAZING SONG gives me goosebumps every time! but id have to disagree with Ruddy... it says that jack is the one with the 'simple head'. I beleive that it means that once jack saved the big fat one he covered his own head because he was afraid that he would recieve another beating ... Because it was "the big fat one" that threw the first punch in a previous verse >> And then they'd smirk at him And kick stones at him The first punch came from The big fat one i dunno just my veiws :P |
