1) amazing live! i saw him friday. this is my favorite song so far this year, and i feel like it was his favorite to perform because it seems very personal - not to mention so beautiful 2) "time's a crooked bow" - when i initially heard this i thought of my crooked violin bow... as a violin bow gets older it can get crooked at the tip (look down the length of the bow from metal end holding the frog- it can be quite a shocker how crooked it gets!).. although i cant get the meaning out of that. 3) the word "apocrypha" grabbed my attention, and maybe it refers to the false situation of the dream - doesn't apocrypha also connotate falseness? and the whole song is just surreal, a big dream. |
