I agree with indiainksky that this song is about unrequited love. To me it's about learning about yourself and coming back stronger. It's a powerful song that says yes, i was hurt but having had time to reflect and get over you, i am back and stronger for the experience. |

This song to me is all about putting someone on a pedestal and worshipping everything they say or do. It's about caring for that special person so much that you almost give them God them like status and can see no faults in anything they do. Great song. |

What does this song mean to me? It means to me the beginning of one of the best albums ever written ( A Night at the Opera ). It was written about a former manager who tried his best to leave Queen high and dry and the pure hatred and venom expressed in the lyrics showed an amazing talent of Freddie's even in the very early days. This is a fantastic song to listen to whatever mood you are in, it has a great beat and to those of you who have never heard the entire album, you really should invest a few quid and add it to your collection today. |

This song is the theme tune to my life. Unlike a lot of you youngsters on here I am 40 years old and still searching for that special " Somebody to Love". I grew up in the seventies listening to Queen songs and this one track more than any other has significant meaning to me. Every line in this song is written from the heart, a true tale of being lonely and asking for companionship. In all my years on this earth this is still the greatest song of all time. |

I don't think that anyone will ever know exactly what this song means, if indeed, it means anything at all. What I do know is that it was a classic song when i first heard it way back in 1975 and it is still a classic song today. It's not like any normal song where you can usually work out some sort of meaning, I don't buy the references to aids that a lot of people have picked up on. Just enjoy this song for what it is, an everlasting piece of musical genius written by the greatest singer the world will ever know. |
