I agree. He met a girl and she wants to keep in touch, but he really just doesn't care. And I love the 'spinsters' line, like old women who gossip about everything. I didn't get the sewing circles line until now. |

Gibbard has acheived what he wanted with Natural Anthem. And I agree, the intro is supposed to be just the raw emotion you get from his songs.
And a little tidbit about how crazy TPS songs are: they're made by Ben laying down some tracks, then he sends it to Jimmy, who adds more to it. This goes on for a while. It amazed me at first at how complex they were. Now that I know how they make them, I'm still amazed. |
