Those of you who think this song is "fake", not The Used, and other such ridiculous things, I completely disagree. You can tell that this song is a The Used song, because it is most definately them. This is not "mainstream". A perfect example of turning mainstream would be My Chemical Romance. I mean, come on. They were really good early on. I can listen to "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" over and over again, but songs such as "I Don't Love You" and "The Sharpest Lives" just give me a headache... I guess you have to be a true fan to understand that The Used is not a "lets get money" band. They are in it for the music. I am a true fan, I understand. Obviously you haters of this song just don't get it. As for the meaning, many of you have already gave what you thought the meaning was, and one of the things I love about this song is that it can be interpreted in many ways to fit problems we all deal with. I liked all of your interpretations I think that, music wise, this song might be talking about how Bert and the band want to stray away from the "Screamo" genre? He "crawls like a bird from a worm" from the genre, but no matter what, it's pointless. But I don't really care about their genre. I love The Used, no matter what. I can safely say: The Used is my favorite band. |
