This song has nothing to do with NASA whatsoever- i am disappointed in how many comments are just "This song is the best!" I want to read some interesting interpretations for this ridiculous song. I believe this song is about using death as a tool of persuasion like all the martyrs throughout history that have the same exact history as Jesus and were equally important to other early religions because all organized religion is an imitation of sun worship and astrology. Well, you believe that than that means you also believe that organized religion is a conspiracy for control of the masses to keep people from understanding that god is just another word for the experience of sameness of everything. Here to paradise they go Brighter made is their woe As above, so below ^This is duality like yin-yang black white whatever. Duality is a prevalent dichotomy in our understanding of reality which boils down to every single thing in our every day life. But you must understand that the on and off,1-2,black white, everything nothing, is not in conflict with itself and that on=off and 1=2 and so on, they are actually exactly the same while being the opposite. Like a reflection in a mirror exactly the same but the opposite. Which is interesting in this case since of course duality applies to life/death by the same rules which ends up being like a crazy cosmos reincarnation cycle of everything same insaneness |

Mr Bungle's style combines music stereotype sounds(like circus musicy jazz ska other?) with crazy arrangements to make music completely original breaking out of the simple midwest paradigm of ABAB or AABB style song writing. I have a live version of this song and Mike Patton says he wrote this song because he lost his wallet. Who knows if thats what really happened but you can definitly feel that sick kind of emotion come through in this song particularly. |

perhaps a satire on the current geo-political-religious-cultural affairs with a bit of hermetic and occult spirituality thrown in for good measure. This song can be used as an attack against those who are lost in the charade of their conscious personality and have lost touch with their divine subconscious. The 9-5 grind tends to do that to people.. |

this song is supposed to be left up to interpretation, but i feel that with its nostalgic "it sounds familiar but something is wrong" kind of sound its a social criticism. its a social expose: we have shock media, unspoken frustrations, pop-a-pill a day attitude, the 9-5 GRIND! it all keeps building until one day all the unrest not talked about (that the pills only make worse) will force people to wake-up, discover the earth is round and hopefully change their moral codes and their definitions of what is right and what is wrong |
