I think this song is about crappy bands that plague the airwaves. The "bottle of fizzy water" is someone getting pissed about these bands getting popular. The line about "third grade" is something you used to like when you were little and now you back and you're like what the f*** was I thinking, you've come to your senses. The stage is their populatiry through all the media and it's saying when are they gonna be done with this bullshit and get the hell off the stage. "Temperaryism..." is the best line. It sums up our culture and the fact that we not only listen to shitty bands just because it's the cool thing to do, but we base our entire lives around it. |

It sounds like he's talking about people who feel that the entire world is out to get them and they think they are the only person that feels as shitty as they do, depression. He's saying you're not the only one who's life sucks, there are others and if you realize this, it'll make things better. |

This may be kind of a stretch, but it sounds like he's talking about Hurricane Katrina and the "city" is New Orleans. The "eyes" are George Bush not really doing anything or have done antything to prevent this from happening when he knew.But, I can see the evolution concept fitting too. |
