the line that's listed here as "daddy you're still my friend" sounds quite clearly to me like "that you're still my friend." i think the song is from the POV of someone who's been screwed over by a friend and realizes that the person's a complete jerkoff, but is willing to let it slide one last time. there's a warning right there in the song title - don't even trip. you screw up once, even in the smallest little way, and it's all over. |
