Gosh I feel so weird commenting on these things!! Haha, But the way I perceived this was, this random like hook-up type relationship, where he knows it means nothing but feels bad. She gave her whole big heart to him, but again deep down he knows by continuing this sexual based relationship he is leading her on, but doesn't stop. i love this song. i really like the whole premise... and the whole "why do you look when youve already found me" like when you are dating someone and they break up to look... when you wonder why they dont have the same mutual feelings and all you can think is... well i found you im not going to look anymore so why do you need to keep looking you already found me. "and what did i do that you cant seem to want me" makes me think of their relationship at the point where they are very good friends but... he doesnt have any clue what he might have done to make her not want him.. when obviously she doesnt really know what she wants in the first place. im sure its like a song of frustration to where he just cant figure out this girl who treats him like she lvoes him so much but cant seem to want him. SUCKS.... |

oh man...jason mraz is my favorite artist and always willl be... i think there is no way that this can not pertain to relationships.... the saying "burning bridges" is about ruining your relationship with someone or something forever... and a longing for being uninvolved... to me is like... you want to separate your self from this relationship.. but you cant.. and you find yourself driving over this "burned bridge" which you thought was done for and over with and come to find out its not.. the bridge is still "burning"... just like that longing in your heart. " you know exactly what i want so i dont have to be so damn upfront"... these to people know what eachother want... they want reconciliation... but this relationship is a BURNT bridge that he keeps driving over... a wound he keeps salting. desire...can cause heart attacks. to me.. thats like... you knwo when you want something soo bad that you get that feeling in your heart.. that burning feeling? when you want someone to feel the same.. or you want sooo bad to fix what youve done that you get that BURNING in your heart.... well... it wont bring you back.... |
