my take is this: its about a dud who is HUGE into heroin and cant stop because of depression caused by his use. eventually im thinking he goes to rehab where he experiences "unbridled love and light" the portraits i think must be friends he's pushed away due to his addiction. |

| to me, this song is about standing up for your beliefs (whatever they may be), and how it can fucking suck to do so, but if u love ur cause you'll stick with it. i mean let's face it; if u keep stickin ur neck out, someone's gonna take a swing at it. this song is about that time when they end up doing it, but ur belief is so strong that you can take it in stride. so that was longwinded and nonsensical but w/e | |

hmmm...while i do appreciate the great concern for lyrical accuracy here, isnt the name of the website songmeanings.net? i mean no one has said a thing about the meaning yet. Personally the song is about the role of pretense in our society. the song, to me, is about the lengths people go to in order to look unique, which of course makes us all look the same. thoughts? |
