I think this is what most artist do anyway, they feel so low, so painful, and then they own the place that they are in by endulging in it and making something out of it. Im sure everyone has met those people that are addicted to feeling low. The ones that are too lazy to do the work to fill their lives that they settle for the intense stimulous of reveling in their hollowness and pain, hahah which only brings more pain and can send them into a downward spiral. thelivingendday ..... I think Daniel wrote a few things concerning morons like you. people who are complacent and do not want him to grow from that place, that angry place. Look for it in the new album its there. Daniel is sick of being there and you can see it in his songs. To quote the songs you like, "LEARN TO EVOLVE! LEARN TO EVOLVE!" man. Anyway yes they are a pop band, but STIL AVANT GARD! That is what they are trying to do!!! It has the potential to revolutionize what pop music is. This is the statement that Paul Mac and Daniel are trying to make. Daniel and Paul put substance in these songs, unlike most of pop and make it so real and relevant to real life! |

I think he is speaking of the stale parts of life that a popular musician endures during the creation, release and promotion of a new project. You can see how daniel almost cringes at the bs he puts up with: certain interviews, fan criticisms and label reps. This very much reminds me of a philosophical work called "Borgess and I" Its about the relationship between one's consciousness(self) and the relationship that it holds with the public self. And I dont know why I feel like there should be quotation marks "He dreams of tracks and choices" I think I'm hearing voices. Probably about the whole deal with diorama and the label telling them what to do with their music. Daniel definately achieved what he wanted, to be a vocalist and write to accentuate or facilitate the lyrics. This song feel and sounds like...like a beautifully liberating FU."The interview's over Stuck to the goal To rescue my skin" Like he is now making music for him! But this is my interpretation after only the second listen. We will see how this evolves. |
