Aw. I really like this song. i think it's about having to leave old best friends and once they're gone, it's not the same between you two even if you're dying to try again- it's not the same. though there's a part of you hoping it would be and a part of you hoping that they feel the same way. but then you realize that things have changed. this song makes me really sad, but happy at the same time. makes me think of my old best friends. ones that have moved, gotten further away from, or just plain.. changed. :/ |

I thought of the movie/book "Lolita" (book by Vladimir Nabokov) when I heard this song -look it up if you don't know what it's about especially the reference to the "Heart-shaped glasses" which is an icon of the movie and the fact that Lolita would kind of keep her step-father (who she was having an afair with) on pins and needles. |
