Great song, but I must toss in that I also heard "Goddamn Julien" the first time I heard it, and right after that I also thought he said "We're gonna make you come faster". So I had to take a step back and look up the lyrics to make sure I was mistaken. It was quite a comical event. I like the previously stated idea about the people over throwing the goverment and winds up as corrupted as the original people, leading it be that everyone is fucked up. Kind of reminds me of Marilyn Manson's Holy Wood. Although I'm not sure if that is what is happening here, I always assumed it was from the point of view of The Presence, which is why it was right after The Warning (if I am correct), they are doing what they sasid they were going to do. Wipe this place clean. |

| Fucking love this song, my favorite from Anti-Christ Superstar. It's so raw and just a gream song to get pumped with, shame he doesnt do this song at concerts anymore, it's a great concert song. Personaly, I like the "Mechanical Animals" manson more, but this is one of my favorite songs of his in general. | |

Standing back to look at this situation at another time than like 3 in the morning, I also don't even think offdutyninja was real. He may have been a troll, or he may have been somebody just joking around. Anyway, the whole religious argument is getting old. I'm sick of it. Everyone has their opinons, but flame wars and arguments on the internet is fucking stupid. People just feel big and bad because they are hiding behind a computer. I wouldnt even doubt it if offdutyninja was some 11 year old kid of christain parents. Granted, this song deals with a topic directly related to religion, but how about we change topic for once? I did something mildly interesting. Using goldwave, I changed the tempo of the song and whatnot, so that is faster. Using the "Time Warp" feature, the song was reduced in length by half because it is faster, but the vocal pitch didnt change, it didnt sound like chipmunks, but came out as if it was "Antichrist Superstar: The Dance Remix" or something. Rather funny. I saved it and did it to several other songs as well, I'm gonna make a Manson Dance Mix CD!!! Yay! lmao |

^ Skold It appears several Skold songs managed to make it onto here under Manson's name. One thing I had to laugh about is that AFTER christina201288 posted here letting people know it isnt even Manson, then came a flood of people saying that Manson does need someone to pray for him and that he is antieverything, and judging him based on the song that isnt even his. READ OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTS. This just made it obvious to me that people just come here to rant, not share other's opinons, they dont even fucking read what the other people say. This song isnt even by Marilyn Manson. It is a Skold song, Manson just does backing vocals. From all I can see the only line Manson sings in the whole song is "Sex, Guns, and Anarchy Blood, Guts, and Sodomy" and he didnt write any of the lyrics. Therefore, I do not think this song should be on here, which is for Manson songs, or at least, this fact should be noted. All the same, great fucking song. |

Man, why do these songs always have to turn into religious debates? Although I must say (with moronic ignorance like syko227 aside) this is perhaps the most polite religious debate I have seen on here, no one has called anyone a fag yet, way to go! Anyway, I personaly did not see this song as mockery because like the whole album, it is telling a story. This is the point of view of someone else, not Trent going "oooh, look at meee, I'm a christain and I believe blah blah blah" it's the corrupt and incorrect views of characters in the story. In my opinon, I agree with the one who said it is more about the goverment than christains. Seriously, I never had to think about it, I heard it and it just made sense to me (being as many of the songs from Year Zero are from the viewpoint of the goverment or a soldier) that it was the goverment trying to justify what it is doing by saying it is God's will. I mean, seriously, this is something that has been done millions of times in the past. So in all honesty, I see mockery or blasphemy in this song, just a goverement trying to trick the people into following them by saying this is God's will and we are His chosen people, like the Muslims before them and thousands of religions before them. So, in all honesty, I think it is the Anti-Religious people here that are trying to claim a song that doesn't mean what you want it to mean. Seriously, there are pleanty of anti-religious songs out there, just go listen to a Marilyn Manson cd (not just because of the anti-religious content, I mean come on... they are fucking amazing) or any death metal cd (if thats your thing), but understand that this song and CD is not anti-religious, it is anti-goverment. |

Can anyone find someplace where I can download this one, as well as My Pestitcide and Slit Your own Throat. I know what you may be thinking, illegal downloading is wrong. But I bought the album twice already, once at Best Buy and once on iTunes, thats as far as I am going, I am not buying 4 copies of the same album for 3 extra songs. I think for every true chrurch or message or believer or whatever, there is at least 10 shitty fake ones (cough offdutyninja cough). Whoa there. Serious attacking on the christans going on in this thread. Well, I thought I would input my opinons on this subject, simply because I can. I am a christan, full fledged "saved" christan. Believe in God, the bible, Jesus, heaven, hell, the whole 9 yards. Also, unlike Blinky the Ghost, I am perfectly happy being a christan, I am not depressed or dissapointed. I feel just fine, and I try to repent for my sins and all that, but every human is a sinner, including christans. We all are sinners, thats something stressed greatly in the bible, the human race has fallen. Yes, even religous leaders, priests, and pastors are sinners, as contraversial that topic is to most of my fellow christans. Now, as well as being a christan, I also happen to be a huge Manson fan, go figure. You say one can not be both? Your wrong. I think in this song, Manson is not trying to say he is THE antichrist, but that the world has made him into one. This thought is continued in the next song, 1996, that with all the "anti" going on in the world, he is somewhat of an antichrist. Something else I heard was that this is a concept album, following the story of a young wannabe rock star, known as The Worm, as he sells his soul to become a huge rock star, and "Little Horn: dwells within him, and "Little Horn" will eventually feed off of the power and fame and become the antichrist, which would be what happens in this song. I have listened to the album with this story in mind, and I must say it makes sense. However, I am not sure if that was what Manson intended when writing the album, it sure is interesting to concider, and would make a good story. Anyway, I'm rambling here. The point I tried to make is that one can be a christan and a Manson fan. I have been offended by many posts made in here, both by the anti-christans and the religous people as well. anti-christans, you are entitles to your beliefs, but in the same way so are we. I will admit, your group was attacked first, as most religous people in here simply said you were going to hell and to convert (which is where I am offended by my fellow religous people in here, what kind of way is it to represent yourself by saying someone is going to hell? Shame on you, love the sinner, hate the sin you guys.) But dont attack the religon, if you must attack someone, attack the person, but such quotes as "go suck god's balls you fucking piece of vaginal discharge" is really ignorant. As a christan I am offended by that, couldnt you come up with something better? Anyway, I'm fucking tired (yes, I curse, find me where it says "Thou shall not say fuck" in the bible, because fuck and freak/fudge mean the same thing, and shit/crap mean the same thing. So who decided one is wrong and the other is not?) and if I dont stop myself, I'll just keep on ranting and going on, so I'll stop. |
